Welcome to Tiblow Talk. For those who followed the paper in 2017, you know we are under new management. You have at your disposal a dedicated group of volunteers who believe in bringing you information that matters to you. In this day and age, newspapers are closing their doors, so why have one? Simple: Without a newspaper there is no record of the history of our town. We are not a group of strangers who live near each other; we are a connected group of citizens that share the same schools, churches, and businesses.
There may be some items of national interest if they affect our town, but mostly, this paper will serve to put in writing what’s happening each day in our lives. In a few pages, we will catch you up on the month’s happenings, and if successful, we will gladly increase our output.
There is no political spin or paid interests. We will gladly publish letters to the editor so everyone has a voice. Just keep it respectful.
This is a gathering place for stories of accomplishments and development. It will also serve as a record for everything from births and honor rolls, to deaths and mishap. Bad news abounds, so none will be printed here solely for shock value.
We believe in pulling together the threads that connect us and tying together a community. Hoping to gain the support and cooperation of the citizens of Bonner Springs and surrounding communities, we proudly make our debut. Now sit back, relax, maybe get a cup of coffee, and enjoy the news.
