Monster Bash Trunk-or-Treat
Bonner Springs Parks & Rec
The City of Bonner Springs Parks and Recreation department held their annual Monster Bash and Trunk-or-Treat on Sunday, October 28. It was another record year with 632 children attending! This year’s event featured a pumpkin decorating contest, costume contest, carnival games, a 5 & under play room, selfie stations, trick or treating at the Senior Center, and a Trunk-or-Treat.
Everyone’s costumes were wonderful! It makes it really hard on staff to choose the winners when we know kids (and their parents) put so much effort into them.
The pumpkin decorating contest was separated into two categories: 8 and under and 9 and older. Congratulations to Kamryn Romero & Raeleigh MacDonald! You all did a wonderful job decorating your pumpkins. Volunteers help staff pick out this year’s winners.
Trunk-or-Treat was held outside the Community Center featuring the Bonner Springs Police, Fire, EMS, Animal Control, Public Works, Tiblow Transit, YMCA, Advance America, and some community members.
With 17 City Staff members and 19 community members putting their efforts in to make this event a success, the Parks and Recreation department would like to express our deepest thanks and gratefulness to all of you. We spend a month or so planning and prepping, but we cannot do events like this without your support.
